understanding fosters motivation to do something about it

Chronic pain necessitates holistic evaluation

Have you been suffering with a chronic pain (anything more than 3 months) that just won’t let up? You have tried it all: the GP recommended medication and a referral, the physiotherapist gave you a massage and a few exercises, the chiropractor cracked you into alignment over and over again, and/or the orthopedic surgeon is saying you need an operation (including but not limited to: spinal fusion, knee or shoulder arthroscopy, rotator cuff repair, halux valgus/bunion correction surgery, knee or hip replacement, etc).

Nothing provides lasting pain relief. You have tried the supplements, the treatments, and the corrective devices (shoe inserts and braces) all to no avail. It is frustrating and disheartening to live in pain and maybe it is feeling like your body is just broken…

However, how in depth have your conversations and analyses with your medical professionals been? Did anyone look at your body as a whole instead of just testing and focusing in on the painful area? Did anyone take the time to understand your experience beyond the usual 5-20 minute consultation time? Are you being asked about your nutrition, hydration, sleep, stress, relationships, home environment, beliefs, history of activity, history of injuries and ailments, interests, hobbies, and more?

Because your chronic pain, especially a pain that was born over time without a specific injury, is a multifactorial hindrance that REQUIRES a multifactorial, holistic approach for lasting resolution.

This is the approach that I can offer as a licensed CHEK Integrative Health Coach (IMS 1 HLC 1), Physiotherapist, and Empowered Heart Facilitator. If you would like to discuss IF and HOW we can help each other, let’s hop on a free call and get into it!

“I was skeptical about how good online sessions could be, but she really was outstanding and I can’t recommend her highly enough. (Also, for a lower-body injury, it was actually way better to receive guidance that wasn’t a huge physical challenge to get to, so it enabled me to access great care much more conveniently.)”
