Cherishing the rainbow of every storm a photo from a wonderful time in Montegonzi, Italy

These days our attention is being pulled in all directions and it can be challenging to discern what is genuine and important. Ever since my introduction to philosophy and metaphysics studies when I was 18, I have been intrigued and mystified by the “truth”. By trying to understand WHY things are the way they are. Why we behave the way we do. Why do we suffer from debilitating pain when we are seemingly doing many things right? Why are we here? Why, why, why.

Some questions do not have answers… fortunately or unfortunately. I believe that part of the wonder and beauty of life is surrendering humbly to what we cannot control.

But then there are things that we CAN control.

Many questions regarding pain with specific movements, chronic pain, recurring emotional reactions, negative cyclical thought patterns, bodily discomforts, feeling fatigued, etcetera can be answered when we look at patterns: patterns of movement or lack thereof, patterns of what is being put into the body, and patterns of what is being fed to the mind.

Most of my work involves identifying unhelpful patterns. Once found, they can be conscientiously shifted in order to help you feel better in your own skin and make the most out of your time in this life. Whatever “making the most of your time” looks like for you, I am here to aid you in that journey. I keep it simple and straightforward, utilizing evidence-based practices and a multi-modal approach to work with your multi-faceted reality as a human being.

My goal is to help you to help yourself. To help you to identify your WHY so that you can full heartedly prioritize your health. The WHY is different for all of us. One easy way to think about it is by asking yourself: Why do I want to be pain free? Why do I want to have more energy? Why do I want to feel… good? Why do I feel called to take better care of myself? OR also, why don’t I want to take better care of myself?

I strive to create a safe container where any answer and question are welcomed. Where there is no judgement or negativity, only honesty and authenticity around what it is to be alive right now. Where you will be held and nurtured in your healing process— which may go far beyond the superficial physical layers of rehabilitating that “little” ankle sprain (for example). Together we can explore the deep pain of being injured, the reminders of mortality, the frustrations of chronic pain, and the fear of chronic dis-ease. Like detectives looking for clues, we will identify the patterns in your life that are not longer serving your best interests.

I am ready to meet you where you’re at and challenge you to go deeper, or to go wherever it is that you are feeling called to go. To provide intuitive counselling to help you transform your relationship with pain and dysfunction from avoided-insecurity-producing-enemy into welcomed-trusted-friend-and-confidant.

All this to say, I would be HONORED to work with you to help you overcome your pain. Physical, mental, emotional, and/or spiritual— my goal is to share my toolbox of tools for taking good care of this body-mind-soul.

Thank you for being here and thank you for your care. For further inquiries or a desire to talk over the phone, please feel free to fill out a Contact Form and I will get back to you in a giffy!

With Love,

Your Pocket Physio app logo (NEW SOLEFUL SOLUTIONS BRANDING IS IN THE WORKS!), created by me on Canva, is meant to reflect the accessibility of my services online. Via the app, you literally have my expertise in your pocket on your smart phone. Those who buy a treatment package can enjoy the benefit of having direct contact with me in between video consultations via in-app messaging. Those who choose a monthly subscription have access to knowledge sharing via guided movement sessions. I want it be quite informal, imperfect, and playful in order to invite you to come forth in your truth and reality as a human being— to encourage a co-working approach to your healing rather than a top-down, it’s-my-way-or-the-highway dynamic that is so common in many healthcare relationships.

Colors

Logo

The color choices utilized are very intentional. The blue is a tribute to my first name which in spanish speaking cultures is a color blue and means “heavenly”. The orange is a tribute to my Dutch heritage with their national color being orange (albeit a different shade) and a joking expression of my last name. “Kaashoek” means “cheese corner” in Dutch, and I love the harder orange cheeses made in the Netherlands. The light grey is a color in between the opposites of black and white, of seeing things in this-or-that extremes without seeing the inbetween.
